Kirsty Templeton Davidge returned to school in 2011 to pursue a degree in the visual arts. She received her bachelor degree in Fine Arts with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2015 and was awarded numerous scholarships as well as nominations for both painting and sculpture awards. Templeton Davidge is primarily a figurative painter working within classical modes of representation where the concepts of beautiful 'truisms' remain an important and integrated part of her work. Her new work features cropped perspectives of the human form where hands, backs and clothing items are the only hints provided to piece together faceless narratives. With each painting, she strives to blend the technical, emotional and conceptual aspects of painting.
