Kerri is on the faculty at the Miles Nadal jcc Suzuki program where she teaches private cello lessons, group lessons, chamber music and conducts a small orchestra. She also teaches cello from her home studio at Yonge and Eglinton. With over fifteen years of teaching experience and a great wealth of performance experience, Kerri brings a wide range of pedagogy courses to her teachings, which include Suzuki certification courses, a summer seminar with Irene Sharp in California and a special-study course in pedagogy completed during her Masters in Music at the University of Alberta.
Recently Kerri has been appointed as the new co-Artistic Director of the Academy Concert Series, a chamber music series dedicated to period performance at Eastminster United Church on the Danforth. A recipient of the Margarita Heron Pine String Prize and the Beryl Barns Graduate Scholarship, Kerri graduated with a Masters of Music degree in cello performance and a Bachelor of Music Degree with distinction from the University of Alberta. Kerri won Premier Prix with unanimous distinction in violoncello and chamber music from the Gennevilliers Conservatory while studying in Paris. While completing an Advanced Certificate in Baroque cello through the University of Toronto, she performed as a soloist with Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra.
Kerri is based in Toronto and in addition to teaching, performs regularly as a soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and orchestral cellist.
