I was born and raised in Ottawa, and was educated in Philosophy, Wildlife Biology, Music, Technical Writing and Art Therapy. I've taught piano for 25 years, all ages and levels including mentoring new teachers. I'm also a poet, painter, field-naturalist and martial artist. I lived abroad for nine years, in Boston, New York City and in Iceland. I have a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to my two professions: piano teaching and art therapy. I have a passionate belief in the power of creativity as a source of joy, self-knowledge and healing.
