Classically trained pianist, Julie Sackey Forbes, established JSF Piano with a passion for educating individuals. Born and raised in Edmonton, she is a graduate of the University of Alberta, where she received her Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education degrees.

Julie completed her A.R.C.T. in Piano Pedagogy from the Royal Conservatory of Music and has been teaching piano privately since 2007. She has specialized in teaching private piano in all levels, as well as teaching group lessons through the Music for Young Children program.

Being a part of Edmonton Public Schools since 2011, Julie is also an Elementary Music Teacher who teaches general music through the methods of Kodaly and Orff.

Julie is an active member of the Alberta Piano Teachers Association (APTA), and the Alberta Registered Music Teachers Association (ARMTA).
