Joan has been painting most of her life. She is a graduate of the Famous Artists School, Westport, Connecticut, taken by correspondence while raising five children.
She has studied with many well known Canadian Artists and has won many awards for her work.
Joan taught art classes for Loyalist College Belleville Ontario in the Continuing Education Program for 38 years. She is now retired and lives with her husband George in Quinte West.
