Kathryn MacLellan Theatrical Producer

Ms. MacLellan is a Haligonian theatrical producer/actor/ choreographer and figure skating coach.
In 2011 she founded KAZAN CO-OP and has brought award winning theatre to Halifax, The National Arts Center in Ottawa and Toronto. As Artistic Director of KAZAN, along with her Board of Directors- she created The Waiting Room- a much needed sixty seat black box theatre in the North End of the city. The work developed there has gone on to critical and audience acclaim in New York City, and Edinburgh. As an actor and dancer she has performed in many stages across Canada. As a coach and choreographer;she has taught skaters in Toronto, Vancouver and Halifax from beginners to national competitors.
A four time Robert Merritt award nominee for acting and choreography, and two time Actra nominated actress, MacLellan has also received the Mayors Award (2014) for her Outstanding contribution to theatre in Halifax. May 2019 she received an Actra Award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in the feature film “Hopeless Romantic”.
