Heidelberg Materials North America works diligently to fulfill our vision of Simple Actions Build Strong Communities by supporting initiatives in our local communities and focusing on Arts and Education, Environment, and Health & Well-being. The Heidelberg Materials Helps program was established to form a structured and cohesive platform to drive community engagement across our business lines, while also promoting and supporting employees who donate time and monies to nonprofit, charitable organizations.

The Company contributes to organizations grouped under the three following general categories: Arts & Education, Environment and Health & Well-being. Within these categories, contributions are made for the public welfare, or for charitable, scientific, educational, environmental and safety purposes.

Organizations eligible for Company contributions include those that are considered tax-exempt, charitable organizations under the U.S. Internal Revenue Code or the Canada Income Tax Act. For a charity to qualify to receive charitable contributions from the Company in the U.S., the charity must be registered as a 501(c)(3) organization with the Internal Revenue Service.  In Canada, the charity must be appropriately registered under the Income Tax Act.  Groups normally associated with charitable activities—such as the United Way, Salvation Army, Boy Scouts, and most schools—qualify as charitable organizations.

Organizations meeting the eligibility requirements can apply for funding online here.
