Author visit: Dear Street and placemaking letter writing workshop with Lindsay Zier-Vogel

Author Lindsay ZIer-Vogel will read from her debut picture book, DEAR STREET, and lead groups from JK-Grade 3 in a placemaking exercise, asking them to write letters to things they love in their communities, that they will then hide for strangers to find, spreading place-based love in their community. 

Music Monday

Music Monday is a celebration of the impact of music education in our schools and in our communities.   On Monday May 1st, we will join together to celebrate music education by singing our Song of Celebration together at 12:30 pm ET.  Registration is free and will give you access to all the resources you need to teach the song to your class or learn at home.  There are numerous audio recordings, arrangements, lyric sheets, sing-a-long videos and a Learning Guide.

Lake Field Music camp for adults

This retreat for adults brings together amateur musicians and an exceptional faculty of 20 musicians/educators for one week of instruction and creativity in a friendly and supportive environment.  Singers and instrumentalists build their programs from ~60 ensembles and workshops.

The-Write-Stuff Playwriting Competition for Youth

Submissions are now open for our second annual Playwriting Competition for Youth, The-Write-Stuff!

Québec-based playwrights aged 12-18 are eligible to enter, with a $500 cash prize awarded to the winning entry! Short-listed playwrights are provided with mentoring and dramaturgical feedback from industry professionals to hone their skills, talents, and confidence. Short-listed plays will be offered a professional staged reading featuring some of Montréal’s finest actors.

Open to students from Grade 7 through Grade 12, the Canadian Art Inspiration Student Contest invites submissions of artworks inspired by or responding to leaders in Canadian art  history and major Canadian artworks. Applicants are encouraged to interpret this theme as broadly as they wish, and to  submit works in any media.

LFM Winter Sky - Online Music Workshops

A shared music experience is created through a collection of online instructional workshops for singers and instrumentalists. Each of the 10 different workshops includes 6 hours of instruction and have limited enrolment to allow each participant individual attention from the coach.
