The Seminar will explore how creative, artistic, and pedagogical processes have a direct impact on human development and community empowerment, placing the arts and pedagogy at the centre as effective tools for social transformation and community-building.

Récipiendaire du prix Artiste-Éducateur de la Fondation des arts de l’Ontario en 2018, l’artiste Yao vous propose un webinaire sur l’importance de l’artiste-éducateur (son rôle, sa raison d’être) et nous propose des éléments nécessaires pour structurer un atelier artistique efficace, pour le milieu scolaire.

Le monde de l’enseignement artistique est un géant endormi qui commence tout juste à sortir de sa torpeur. Ce webinaire fera le point sur l’état actuel de ce secteur en pleine évolution et rappellera le rôle que jouent les artistes-enseignant e s dans les écoles, les communautés et la création artistique au Canada. Vous aurez l’occasion d’en apprendre plus sur cette profession, notamment les compétences requises et l’importance de créer un réseau mondial.

The field of teaching artistry is a sleeping giant—that is beginning to awaken. In this webinar you will learn about the current state of the field (in transition!) and the potential of teaching artistry for Canadian arts, communities, and schools. You will also find out what teaching artistry actually is, what its foundational skills are, and why it is becoming a global community.

Recipient of the Artist-Educator Award from the Ontario Arts Foundation in 2018, the artist Yao offers a webinar on the importance of the artist-educator (his role, his raison d’être) which provides the necessary elements to structure an effective artistic workshop for the school environment.

Calling all playwrights! Don't miss your chance to enter Write-on-Q, Infinithéâtre's annual playwriting contest, open to Québec writers and Indigenous writers from across North America.

Submissions are now open for our second annual Playwriting Competition for Youth, The-Write-Stuff!

Québec-based playwrights aged 12-18 are eligible to enter, with a $500 cash prize awarded to the winning entry! Short-listed playwrights are provided with mentoring and dramaturgical feedback from industry professionals to hone their skills, talents, and confidence. Short-listed plays will be offered a professional staged reading featuring some of Montréal’s finest actors.

The Coalition for Music Education in Canada will be hosting a virtual launch event and discussion panel on Thursday, February 24th at 7pm EST, to review the findings of a National Study three years in development.
