Indigenous Youth Storytelling Workshop

Indigenous Youth (16 - 25) and Women will have the opportunity to participate in a storytelling workshop led by Yolanda Bonnell (Ojibwe - South Asian). The workshop includes warm ups, discovering the different ways a story can be told (body/movement, writing, song, or combination). Participants will find the path that suits them best and will create a 5-minute piece of theatre that will tell a specific creation story.

The ACE program ensures that practicing artists graduate each year with certification to teach in Ontario schools. Artists in Community Education students bring their professional experience in the arts to the classroom, exploring ways of learning and knowing through their unique range of skills.

Visions of Turtle Island: Tribal Vision Dance

Poetry with Albert Dumont

The goal of the workshop is to help participants understand why poetry is medicine for the spirit and emotional distress.
