This week-long Art Smarts project involved students from Grades 1, 2, 3 from École James Nisbet. I harvested birch trees and 1/4" circles were cut to represent 'beads' for the pattern which was inspired by a Métis floral pattern I designed according to the space provided.
Using the same set of materials, 200+ students, JK-8, created 300+ flowers that represent the unique virtues and characteristics we each hold. No two were exactly the same.
Eglinton Junior Public School Tangram Project 2018-19
This is a mural that I recently painted with students from Lowe Farm School. We painted on panels, which were later installed in the school's front entrance.
K to Grade 6 Mulvey School project named "School by the River" A story from each grade is represented on a panel.
David Livingston School in Winnipeg had been working on creating treaties with their communities, parents and each other. I was brought in to develop an interpretation of their treaties in a mural form. Students, Elders and the community represented their ideas and a 15 foot dream cat
