#DesjardinsFoundation Prizes

The #DesjardinsFoundation prizes, organized by Desjardins Foundation, award financial assistance for projects with a direct impact on kindergarten, elementary and secondary school students.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Organizations will be eligible for the #DesjardinsFoundation prizes if they belong to one of the following categories:

Gainey Foundation

Established in memory of Cathy and Laura Gainey, the Gainey Foundation is committed to supporting charitable organizations that offer environmental and arts education programs for youth.

The Gainey Foundation carefully examines all funding requests submitted by registered charitable organizations that offer environmental and/or arts education programs for youth.

Under the Income Tax Act, the Foundation may make grants only to “qualified donees”; for the most part this means federally registered charities.

Heidelberg Materials Helps program

Heidelberg Materials North America works diligently to fulfill our vision of Simple Actions Build Strong Communities by supporting initiatives in our local communities and focusing on Arts and Education, Environment, and Health & Well-being. The Heidelberg Materials Helps program was established to form a structured and cohesive platform to drive community engagement across our business lines, while also promoting and supporting employees who donate time and monies to nonprofit, charitable organizations.

Simple Plan Foundation

REQUEST FUNDING

There is neither a particular form to fill, nor restricting procedure to follow to ask for financial support from the Simple Plan Foundation. Each organization or person is free to explain its objectives and needs in its own way, either by e-mail (info@simpleplanfoundation.com) or by letter.

ArtsNB - Creation Grant

The Creation program is designed to provide assistance to professional New Brunswick artists for the research, development and execution of original projects in the arts. Creation grants are intended to allow artists to devote some or most of their time to research and creative production.There are three categories under the Creation program:

ArtsNL - ArtsSmarts

ArtsSmarts is available to schools and school boards in the provincial K-12 education system. This program is funded through the Newfoundland and Labrador Department of Education’s Cultural Connections Strategy, Equinor, and ArtsNL. In Newfoundland and Labrador, ArtsSmarts is administered by ArtsNL.

ArtsNL - Community Arts Program

The Community Arts Program (CAP) is available to community-based arts organizations and groups. The program funds projects related to arts workshops, presentations, productions, new creations, adjudicator fees, artist fees, and travel costs.

Program Funding:
$100,000 is available to be awarded annually. The maximum grant request is $5,000, and the minimum grant to be awarded is $1,000, or the total amount requested by the applicant if less than $1,000.

Saskatchewan Arts Board (SK Arts) - Artists in Communities - Residencies

Artists in Communities provides funding to organizations, professional artists, or arts professionals for projects and residencies.

Artists in Communities - Residencies supports community organizations to host a six- to twelve-month artist-in-residence project with a professional artist, working in any art form, that involves significant community engagement components. Participating artists take up residence in a community contribute to its cultural life and the community's continual engagement in the arts.
