Au début de la pandémie de la COVID-19, en mars dernier, l’École de musique de l’Orchestre symphonique de Vancouver (OSV) a été propulsée dans la sphère de l’apprentissage en ligne, ce qui a fondamentalement transformé la prestation de services à ses étudiants, et continuera d’avoir un effet transformateur à l’avenir. Avant la pandémie, la numérisation faisait déjà partie de ses objectifs stratégiques, mais l’organisation n’était pas préparée pour la vitesse à laquelle se ferait cette adaptation.  

At the onset of COVID-19 last March, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s School of Music was propelled into a space of online learning which fundamentally altered the way they delivered experiences to students and will continue to have a transformative effect from this point forward. Prior to the pandemic, their strategic goals already included aspects of digitization, however they were not yet fully prepared for the speed at which they would need to adapt.

With a degree in Communications, Culture and IT, and a Certificate in Digital Communications, Lynn’s skills will be put to good use through developing The Network’s website, expanding Canada’s Map of Arts & Learning, building our social media platforms and more.

We are pleased to announce a free webinar series aimed at helping Canada’s arts and learning practitioners develop strategies to more effectively connect with the public – whether it be potential new students, audiences or collaborators. Throughout this series we will explore simple ways of promoting virtual art making and learning opportunities for the public, while also dissecting some of the best practices that have emerged throughout the pandemic’s surge in digital arts instruction.
