"We did 3 different projects that allowed art students to be able to work together and collaborate to build pieces that emphasized and highlighted that art unites us. Some created their contribution to pieces in person in class while for others the art was creates at home.
"My photo students at Sandwich Secondary in LaSalle, Ontario, first participated in this locally sponsored community photo show by retail store Pressure Drop.
Markham Arts Council firmly believes in the benefit of arts, especially during these challenging and unprecedented times.
"We started online art classes in September 2020, and they have been growing ever since.
"I recently led a virtual school arts project with my grade 5 class and in collaboration with the grade 6 class.
