My band, Glenn Marais and The Mojo Train, have been performing our Black History program for several years now, for high schools and elementary schools in the GTA.
This week-long Art Smarts project involved students from Grades 1, 2, 3 from École James Nisbet. I harvested birch trees and 1/4" circles were cut to represent 'beads' for the pattern which was inspired by a Métis floral pattern I designed according to the space provided.
Persephone School of Theatre offers classes and camps for many different age groups. We also provide workshops taught by theatre professions here at Persephone Theatre or on location. New this season we have been offering classes taught from the Legends Centre in Warman Saskatchewan.
Using the same set of materials, 200+ students, JK-8, created 300+ flowers that represent the unique virtues and characteristics we each hold. No two were exactly the same.

This is a mural that I recently painted with students from Lowe Farm School. We painted on panels, which were later installed in the school's front entrance.
This is a recent project I worked on with students from Bertrun E Glavin School, in Winnipeg. I worked with all students from k - 5, who each participated in some way to this project.
At Alexander School, we are pleased to offer our students a “Learning with the Arts” programming approach that is based on the Manitoba Curriculum and is designed to address the multiple ways students learn.
