What is kindness? And how do youth interpret it as an art form?
Since 2016, over 2,500 students have participated in my "Drawn to Life" animation workshops hosted by the District School Board of Niagara's Living Campus, an outdoor education centre located at Woodend Conservation Area (Niagara Falls, Ontario).

After observation of stained glass art and its technical and formal characteristics, students create a design and trace their composition onto a plastic surface. They use translucent paints to imitate stained glass, developing painting abilities and sense of colour.
Basic Beginners Class - $150 including all supplies and Gst. Class runs from 10:30 am - 4:30 pm. Must bring a lunch and wear old clothes. I walk you through every step of the procedure to create your very own unique garden sculpture.
This was a two hour exploratory workshop held at the DIY Homesteader Festival, 2019. Children were given an intro into the wild, colourful plants that make beautiful paint colours and how natural pigments have been around for a long time.
This week-long Art Smarts project involved students from Grades 1, 2, 3 from École James Nisbet. I harvested birch trees and 1/4" circles were cut to represent 'beads' for the pattern which was inspired by a Métis floral pattern I designed according to the space provided.
Since October of 2016, Arts Canopy has been providing arts based programming in music, visual arts, dance/movement, and poetry for people with dementia.
Prairie Sky is a 14x14" painting I worked on with my drop-in lesson group. I have a designated night during the week where students are able to come in and work on a painting. I usually provide a technique or subject or idea for the evening.
